Music at the Mead Hall in collaboration with We Låve Rock are happy to invite you to an inaugural “Vikings & Victorians” Mead Hall event that will take place over two days on September 6-7, 2024. The event will consist of three concerts:
Friday, September 6th (evening): Victorians! Scenes from Clive Nolan’s Musicals will bring to life full costume extracts from “She”, “Alchemy” and “King’s Ransom” with a taste of Clive’s forthcoming musical “The Mortal Light” performed by the Caamora Theatre Company artists and Caamora Norway Chorus.
Saturday, September 7th (afternoon): Clive Nolan Unplugged will feature music from Clive’s vast symphonic rock repertoire, including songs from Strangers On A Train, Shadowland, Arena and other projects, performed by the Caamora Company soloists and guest instrumentalists.
Saturday, September 7th (evening): Vikings! “SONG OF THE WILDLANDS”. The premiere of Clive Nolan’s epic interpretation of the Old English literary saga of the Viking warrior Beowulf. The performance will feature the original soloists, key instrumentalists, and Caamora Norway Chorus.
This performance will be preceded by a talk on the history and culture of Vikings by acclaimed archaeologist, author, and TV presenter Mark Olly. We will also listen to Professor Christopher Monk (the original translator of “Song of the Wildlands” chorus lyrics into Old English) revealing history and anecdotes behind the story of “Beowulf”.
The event will be concluded with an afterparty, featuring a performance from the Cheltenham based rock ukulele band, Frankenstein’s Lobster (Clive might be joining the band for one evening only!)
The weekend will also offer an opportunity to get involved in Viking and Victorian games, as well as meet musicians and members of the cast, get a commemorative photo taken or an album signed.
Additionally, ticketholders will receive souvenir packages (a souvenir bag, a commemorative programme and a laminate), as well as tokens for food and drink available on site and included in the ticket price.

Imaginaerium "The Rise of Medici" Live in Holland!
On January 26th, 2024, at Parkvilla Theater in Alphen aan den Rijnfor, the Netherlands, the first ever live presentation of Imaginaerium's "The Rise of Medici" album took place in front of a sold out theatre.
Clive: "A big thankyou to everyone who came along to the gig on Friday night. Our first chance to present the ‘Rise of the Medici’ album. The first half acoustic show was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed sharing various thoughts and anecdotes… turns out we over ran by about 20 minutes! Then came the presentation of ‘Medici’. I must say I have enjoyed playing ‘the baddie’ in this set up… I was pleased that the ‘growly’ voice survived the evening. The enthusiastic standing ovation at the end was very kind and most welcome, and proved that this idea, begun by the late Eric Bouillette, was well worth all the work that went into it.
Laura and I are pleased that the Imaginaerium legacy is very much alive and kicking.
Thank you so much to everyone who helped us out with all of this… Arne and Tracy for getting this gig off the ground and running with it… JJ and Nicole (And Gabriel and Dorian) for providing beds and excellent hospitality…. Magda (Doid!) and Vincent for selling all that merchandise… Petra for all her help along the way… Thanks also to Lenne, the theatre director for his support and to Steven Loos for dealing with our sound (Fantastic job old son!). Last, but not least, a massive thankyou to Marijke and Andy for their wonderful vocal performances and to Simone for his excellent guitar work!
And finally, my thanks to Laura for her big voice and passion for the project… she’s the heart of Imaginaerium."

“Alchemy” the Movie... Continued!
An idea for making a full-length movie out of Clive Nolan’s Steampunk musical “Alchemy” was born in the summer of 2014, when award winning movie director Neil Monaghan came to see the show at London Off-West End. Although a few years have passed, with the team involved in other projects, the first scene of “Alchemy” has now been successfully filmed! The filming is scheduled for the rest of 2022 and 2023 and we will be informing you about the progress of the project at ‘The Professor King Chronicles’ website and Facebook page, as well as Clive’s and Neil’s related platforms and social media.
So far, you can have a sneak preview of the “Alchemy” filmic universe in the three videos released so far:
‘First recording session’ featuring Clive Nolan and Andy Sears recording vocals for “Deception”, the first filmed scene. Watch HERE.
‘Building the scenery’ featuring Ross Andrews revealing behind-the-scenes secrets of building the “Alchemy” world. Watch HERE.
‘“Alchemy” shooting begins’ being a chronicle of the first day of filming, featuring Natalie Barnett as Amelia Darvas, as well as a general sneak peek into the set, work of the make-up artist and filming crew. Watch HERE.
